happy new year

2019 was profoundly happy,
as we welcomed henry into the fold

2019 was profoundly sad,
as we moved another year
away from her

but time cannot disturb the thickness of  love
it is one lesson i can say that i’ve learned

and i have learned it quietly
and unrelentingly —

time is simply no match
for love
