10 months
that can’t be right
it doesn’t sound right
it doesn’t look right
it doesn’t feel right

10 months is a long time
but it just happened

in my bones and body, it happened yesterday
in my mind and memory, it happened yesterday
in my soul and sleep, it happened yesterday

but the calendar says it’s been 10 months
and everyone around me says it’s been 10 months
so i submit to this earthly clock we all live by

but i know that our time is not His time
and she is now living by His time

and by His time
we will see each other again soon.
