writer’s block

i have been more stuck
than i’ve ever been
the keys on the board may as well be glued down
i could bang on them for hours or days at this point
and make no words at all

this itself is an embarrassing exercise —
one i’ve put off for a bit

but if anything else, at least I need to remember
that putting my thoughts on paper won’t kill me
and neither will sharing them
with the world
