only time

east of nowhere
the rumbles rumble
forces on this side and that side clash
and they always will

i sat on the periphery until she came
and then i gave it thought
and then so much more thought

and my answer is time,
only time

the only thing that creates separation
is time

and there is no tricking time
it is the ultimate master of us all

because the spirit’s journey begins where it begins
and travels where it must

and none of us quite know
where either of those places are
