i knew it was going to snow today
a sheet of white was coming to blanket your grave

but i visited anyways
with a half dozen pink roses

and im glad i did

now as i look at the snow coming down
im not worried that you’re cold

the first time since we put you in the ground

because i think those flowers
will keep you warm
