Zero

This might be
the last poem
I can write about her.

I am stunted
by the number of memories
we made together:

Zero.

Like the number of breaths
she took
outside my body.

I mean, really.

How much can one say
about death,
about a daughter
that was shot
in the womb?

It turns out,

Quite a lot.
